I made it through my challenges, more or less. :D I only cheated once on the 30 for 30 one, and that was because I had run out of clean shirts, and I had to go into the CBD and not look like a total slob. I did pass the thing a day most days, but more often than not it was by drawing what I wore.

My only wish is that I'd motivated myself to do more real drawing, rather than 30 second doodles. That said, I drew more in that month than I probably did in the previous twelve, even taking into account my stupid body's entirely predictable stupid betrayal. Let's call it a win.
This fine month of February I am doing two things.
#1. I am doing the Thing-a-Day, which I believe is about quantity, not quality, so here's the first one:
#2. I am taking the 30 for 30 challenge, which means I only have access to 30 items of clothing (including shoes) all month. Today I wore this:
That is exactly the expression I wore all day, apart from a bad moment when I overheard the pointy-haired boss doing a stupid french accent on the phone and gave him a disgusted look, only to have him turn around and look straight at me. :(
I spent quite a while in a shop today, trying to select items that would exactly match the value of my gift card. I found something worth $19.99 and something worth $9.99. Triumphant, I made my purchases.
"You've got two cents left on this gift card," the girl says to me. "Would you like to keep this amount?"
Does this happen to anyone else? I go up to the counter at the video store to make my purchases, and the video store clerk checks the videos out. Then he says to me, with a note of sternness in his voice, "You've checked this one out before."
So what if I have, video store guy, so what if I have? I haven't forgotten or anything, okay, I just want to watch it again. If that's okay with you? ;_;
An elderly coworker asked me the other day if I'd ever played 'Auto Thief'.
Although I'm trying not to spend money at the moment (Aldi conditioner! $2 a litre!), I ducked into EB Games today and found a game on sale that I've been wanting for ages, Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
If you hear the sound of crying, that will be me, weeping with terror.
I also decided to pick up something cheap for Dad, since he's played Halo 1 as many times as a person possibly can. I asked the EB guy for advice, and he was very helpful, but it took him a while to understand just how limited my Dad's computer is. He was like, 'This game has graphics so beautiful your eyes will grow eyes!', and I'm like, '...Do you have anything like that, but from ten years ago?' I ended up getting one of the Call to Medals of Duty Honour games. Hope it turns out all right.
Dad hasn't slept in three days, though, so I might not give it to him tonight. I wouldn't want him to start hallucinating that we're nazis or something.
